As an A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you will oversee the upkeep of aircraft and meticulously manage all necessary documentation to guarantee safety and prompt service. Responsibilities include conducting pre-flight, post-flight, and in-flight evaluations, as well as executing minor repairs to ensure the aircraft operates safely and efficiently.

Work Schedule: Primarily day shift, with potential variations based on flight schedules. Typical workdays are Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre-departure and daily inspections of aircraft.
  • Manage the launch and recovery operations of aircraft.
  • Document pilot reports and logbook entries.
  • Ensure all maintenance work meets stringent quality standards.
  • Perform extensive maintenance tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Execute various aircraft rigging procedures.
  • Utilize FAA-approved documentation effectively.
  • Engage professionally with client representatives.
  • Exercise full privileges of the A&P license confidently.
  • Inspect aircraft for any defects prior to takeoff, including fuel or oil leaks and system malfunctions, following the preflight checklist.
  • Carry out repairs as needed after flights.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant aviation experience or training is necessary.
  • Possession of a valid airframe and powerplant (A&P) license is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
  • Active security clearance is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lift up to 10 lbs., stand, walk, and perform wrist movements.
  • Frequently lift up to 40 lbs., climb stairs, and work in confined spaces.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and operate motorized equipment.
