Job Title: Machine Operator

Shoreline Fruit is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment used in the filtering process to produce clarified fruit juice concentrate and fruit infusion syrup.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sanitize and inspect machinery for startup
  • Pre-coat rotary vacuum filter
  • Heat treatment of juice from press by a pasteurizing process
  • Start deputization process and complete time cycle
  • Add enzymes to product when requested
  • Run filter process thru membranes
  • Maintain levels in deputization tanks and in concentrate feed tanks
  • Maintain proper flow rates
  • Clean filters as needed during process
  • Responsible for ensuring membrane filters maintain consistent product feed rates to ensure established product specifications are met consistently
  • Qualify and receive sign off signatures for the operation of all filtering equipment used to produce clarified fruit juice concentrate and infusion syrup
  • Assist in training of new operators as requested by management
  • Must receive forklift and sanitation qualifications
Requirements:
  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills
  • Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required if possessing appropriate skills
  • Employees will be trained for several cycles working with an experienced employee
