Job Responsibilities:


• Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components as needed


• Utilize technical resources for troubleshooting and identifying necessary parts for repairs


• Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and prepare reports


• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment


• Adhere to Altec Safety practices in all tasks


• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding customer-related issues


• Complete all required documentation accurately


• Embody Altec Company Values in daily work


• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:


• High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED


• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills


• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling required


• Willingness to travel as necessary


• High level of dexterity


• Must provide tools as per Altec tool policy when required


• Valid driver's license


• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office


• Willingness to work overtime to support customer needs


• Commitment to safety in all aspects of work

Preferred Qualifications:


• Previous experience as a field mechanic or in equipment service


• Educational background in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems


• Familiarity with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, or various types of heavy equipment

Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for advanced positions within the company.

Hourly rates and overtime potential vary based on experience and location. Multiple openings are available across the U.S. and Canada.
