About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Account Manager to join our team at Marsh & McLennan Companies. As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and track customized service plans for each client, working closely with Producers and/or Account Executives.
  • Build effective, personalized relationships with clients and prospective clients, understanding their risk and insurance program needs.
  • Engage the full service team and resources to create measurable value and efficiencies in our clients' businesses.
  • Manage the proposal and renewal processes, supporting clients in reviewing coverage and program options.
  • Oversee the accuracy of client information in our agency management system, facilitating a collaborative service experience.
Market Strategy and Negotiation
  • Work with the service team to effectively manage and oversee new business and renewal processes.
  • Create submissions for underwriters, engaging with clients and prospective clients on their exposures, coverages, and program needs.
  • Negotiate premium, coverage, and other terms on behalf of clients, evaluating coverage, terms, and conditions of quotes received from underwriters.
Data and Process Integrity
  • Consistently follow client service workflows and engage internal resources to ensure efficiency and accuracy of execution.
  • Achieve desired levels of data completeness and process integrity by meeting activity timelines, quality metrics, and goals.
Peer Relationships
  • Participate in ongoing scheduled meetings with the service team to discuss accounts, renewals, service needs, and service platform.
  • Train, guide, and mentor Client Service Representatives and other peers.
Requirements
  • Producers License for Fire/Casualty
  • 2+ years Account Manager experience within an insurance brokerage, or comparable experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS/BA in Business, Insurance, or related field
  • CPCU, ARM, CEBS, or other professional insurance designation related to discipline
  • Experience working with agency management systems
  • Proficient skill level in Microsoft Office Suite
