NYU Langone Health is seeking a skilled and experienced MRI Specialist II-IV Certified to join our team. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI Procedures: Conduct medically prescribed MRI procedures of designated anatomical areas, under the general direction of the radiologist and supervisor.
- Utilize Hospital and Radiology Information Systems: Demonstrate skill in using the hospital and radiology information systems as they relate to radiology, ensuring accurate patient information and HIPPA compliance.
- Administer IV Contrast Media: Set up and administer IV contrast media, explaining the procedure and process to patients, and engaging radiologists and/or LIP as necessary.
- Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Perform visual and manual quality control checks of MRI equipment, and maintain cleanliness of radiographic areas.
- Assess Patient Information and Status: Effectively assess patients' information and status, and plan appropriate procedures accordingly.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting physicians during procedures and maintaining departmental log books.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in MRI or related field
- Licensure: Intravenous Contrast Administration Certification in New York State, ARRT Primary Certification/Registration, New York State License (Radiologic technology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy), Advanced ARRT Certification in MRI, BLS Certification
