MISSION STATEMENT At the Montana Empowerment Center, our commitment is to uplift, support, and inform all Montana families with children and young adults facing disabilities. We aim to equip individuals and families with the necessary information, resources, and support to make informed and empowered decisions in pursuit of exceptional outcomes for children with extraordinary potential.
JOB SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE We are in search of a forward-thinking and strategic leader who embodies values such as a family-centered approach, empathy, effective communication, collaboration, and proficient delegation. The Chief Executive Officer will play a crucial role in steering our organization towards a sustainable future by spearheading initiatives that align with our mission and advocate for the families and children we serve.
FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
- Lead and enhance the center's role as Montana's Parent Training Information Center (PTI).
- Embrace a family-centric methodology, ensuring that individuals, parents, children, and families are prioritized in all decision-making processes.
- Promote and nurture a culture of empathy, demonstrating genuine care and understanding for employees, clients, and stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain robust, clear, and persuasive communication channels both internally and externally.
- Foster a collaborative atmosphere that utilizes the collective intelligence of our dedicated team.
- Delegate tasks effectively, recognizing team strengths to encourage growth and operational efficiency.
- Engage with and fortify community partnerships and networks.
- Oversee the creation of educational materials and training programs for families and professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven leadership experience in a non-profit or educational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning and organizational management.
- Dedication to empowering families with children who have disabilities.
REQUIREMENTS
- Alignment of personal passions with the mission and vision of MEC.
- Exceptional interpersonal and public speaking abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
- Availability to commence in the upcoming months.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- A degree in Education, Social Work, Non-Profit Management, or a related field is highly desirable; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3-5 years of successful senior leadership, management, and administrative experience within a social impact or advocacy non-profit organization.
WAGE / BENEFITS
- Salary range of $52,000 - $58,000, commensurate with experience.
- Compensation reflects a 32-35 hour work week expectation.
- Accrued Sick Leave and Vacation Leave.
- 11.5 Holidays per year.
