Senior Activities Coordinator

Employment Type: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with occasional weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.

The Senior Activities Coordinator collaborates with the Life Enrichment Director to manage administrative tasks, engage with residents and their respective Activity Clubs/Committees, and aid in the planning and execution of resident-focused activities such as celebrations, games, and events. We seek a dynamic and sociable individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting. Strong multitasking abilities are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform clerical tasks as required, such as organizing resident mail, creating forms, flyers, and notices for announcements, meetings, and events. Enter data into Intranet/portal pages for Activities, including trips, parties, ongoing events, films, speakers, performers, and meetings. Prepare the theater for events, including popcorn preparation and projector operation as needed. Manage the schedule of films on the in-house television channel. Utilize meeting management software to track meeting spaces. Monitor deposits and payments for vendors, ensuring all necessary information is collected in advance. Submit resident billing to the Life Enrichment Director for monthly approval. Create and display signage in the mailroom bulletin boards. Accompany residents on outings and serve as the trip leader. Assist with event planning, setup, hosting, and photography during events. Support the Fitness Department as required. Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Life Enrichment Director.

Qualifications:

Two to three years of general office and clerical experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Flexibility in work schedule, with the ability to work occasional evenings or weekends. Professional demeanor and approachability. Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Outlook. Capability to multitask and maintain accurate records in a dynamic environment. Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated, with strong customer service skills. High school diploma or GED required.
