Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Application Development

Canoe Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Application Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional project teams and designing, developing, and shipping mission-critical products and features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop new functionality on a Vue/Typescript/Kafka/PHP/Laravel/Postgresql stack
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs for efficient implementation
  • Integrate new solutions into Canoe's distributed, event-driven architecture
  • Review and provide feedback on technical designs and code
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Canoe engineering

Requirements:

  • Proven experience leading others in a technical leadership or senior engineering role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Full stack software engineering experience with Vue/Typescript/Kafka/PHP/Laravel/Postgresql
  • Experience with event-driven, data-centric architectures
  • Ability to normalize data schema and design event payloads

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shipping SAAS products in a startup environment
  • AWS experience
  • Fintech and/or alternative investment industry experience
