Role Overview:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting students with specialized health care needs. Your responsibilities will include monitoring catheter care twice daily and addressing any additional health-related requirements of students.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer specialized health care procedures, including tube feeding, suctioning, and monitoring glucose levels.
- Evaluate and provide first aid to ill students, adhering to established protocols for effective care.
- Utilize various health equipment and supplies to address injuries and health needs.
- Assist in conducting vision, hearing, and dental screenings.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper health records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Keep the health office organized, clean, and safe, including proper disposal of biomedical waste.
- Manage inventory and order necessary first aid supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with staff, students, and the community to foster a supportive environment.

Performance Metrics:
Your performance will be assessed based on adherence to federal, state, and district health and safety policies, understanding of children's needs, and proficiency in medical treatment practices.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of experience in student health care within a school or health office setting, or in a nursing facility, clinic, or hospital.
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
- Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and medical equipment.
- Capability to observe students and read various materials.
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility needs and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
