The Business Applications Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering effective functional solutions and support for various Business Applications utilized within Taghleef Industries. This position requires a deep understanding of business workflows, user needs, and comprehensive knowledge of both commercial and custom-developed applications. The individual will analyze existing processes and propose enhancements to improve efficiency.

This role also entails grasping the integration impacts across all functional domains. Furthermore, the Applications Engineer will provide secondary leadership for multiple Business Applications and offer 2nd tier support for Help Desk inquiries, develop Functional Specifications, and conduct Acceptance Testing for new or upgraded applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot Tier 2 user system issues by acquiring expertise in:
    • SAP Enterprise Resource Planning
    • Honeywell OptiVision Manufacturing Execution System
    • SAP Business Warehouse
    • SAP Business Objects
    • Other relevant applications or toolsets supporting the business.
  • Assist Project Leaders in conducting feasibility studies, defining project scopes, and prioritizing deliverables.
  • Draft comprehensive Business Requirement documentation in the form of Functional Specifications.
  • Provide analytical support to functional areas by coordinating reporting and data extraction requirements.
  • Engage in Acceptance Testing and Full Process Testing.
  • Deliver End User training and develop System and End User documentation for applications.
  • Actively participate in a collaborative team environment.
  • Learn and implement Taghleef development methodologies.
  • Train, support, install, and recommend new software/hardware solutions for end users.
  • Maintain professional communication across all organizational levels.
  • Occasional after-hours support may be necessary.
  • May be tasked with additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Business Applications within a Manufacturing context is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL queries and Microsoft Office is advantageous.
  • Preference for candidates with SAP experience, though any ERP system experience is valued.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Robust project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing sites.
  • On-call availability may be necessary for critical network issues and emergencies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.
