This position requires a deep understanding of business workflows, user needs, and a comprehensive knowledge of both commercially acquired and internally developed applications.

This role involves assessing existing processes and proposing enhancements to improve efficiency. The Applications Engineer must also grasp the integration aspects across all functional domains. Furthermore, this position provides secondary leadership for multiple Business Applications.


Key Responsibilities:
- Address Tier 2 user system issues by developing expertise in:
- SAP Enterprise Resource Planning
- Honeywell OptiVision Manufacturing Execution System
- SAP Business Warehouse
- SAP Business Objects
- Other relevant applications or toolsets that support the business.
- Assist Project Leaders in conducting feasibility studies, defining project scopes, and prioritizing deliverables.
- Create comprehensive Business Requirement documentation in the form of Functional Specifications.
- Offer analytical support to functional areas by coordinating reporting and data extraction requirements.
- Engage in Acceptance Testing and Full Process Testing.
- Provide training for End Users and develop System documentation for applications.
- Actively participate in a collaborative team environment.
- Learn and implement Taghleef development methodologies.
- Train, support, install, and recommend new software/hardware solutions for end users.
- Maintain professional communication across all organizational levels.
- Availability for after-hours support may be necessary.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in Business Applications within a Manufacturing context is preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL queries and Microsoft Office is advantageous.
- Preference for candidates with SAP experience, though experience with any ERP system is desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Primarily office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing sites.
- On-call availability may be necessary for critical network issues and emergencies.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
