The Business Applications Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering primary functional solutions and support for various Business Applications utilized within Taghleef Industries. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of business processes, user requirements, and a thorough knowledge of both commercially acquired and internally developed applications.

This role entails analyzing existing processes and proposing enhancements to improve efficiency. The Business Applications Engineer must also grasp the integration impacts across all functional areas. Furthermore, this position provides secondary functional leadership for multiple Business Applications.

This role includes providing second-tier support for Help Desk inquiries, generating Functional Specifications, and conducting Acceptance Testing for new or improved applications.


Key Responsibilities:

Address Tier 2 user system issues by developing expertise in: SAP Enterprise Resource Planning, Honeywell OptiVision Manufacturing Execution System, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects, and other tools that support the business operations.

Assist Project Leaders with feasibility assessments, project scope definition, and prioritization of deliverables. Create comprehensive Business Requirement documentation in the form of Functional Specifications. Offer analytical support to functional areas by coordinating reporting and data extraction requirements. Engage in Acceptance Testing and Full Process Testing. Provide training for end users and ensure the creation of End User and System documentation for applications. Actively participate in a collaborative team environment while learning and applying Taghleef development methodologies. Train, support, install, and recommend new software/hardware solutions for end users. Maintain professional communication across all organizational levels. Some after-hours support may be necessary at times. Other related duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Business Applications within a Manufacturing context is preferred. Proficiency in SQL queries and Microsoft Office is advantageous. Preference will be given to candidates with SAP experience, although experience with any ERP system is desirable. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues are essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are required. Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently are necessary. This position is primarily office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing sites. On-call availability may be required for critical network issues and emergencies. Willingness to travel up to 15% is expected. Taghleef is a Drug-Free Workplace.
