Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned electrical engineer to enhance our hardware team in Melbourne, FL, focusing on compute, vision, and display systems tailored for tactical applications within rugged military vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead technology initiatives and ensure timely project completion within budget constraints.
- Design, develop, analyze, document, and support testing of various products, systems, or subsystems.
- Independently manage technical projects while mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
- Engage in the design, development, modification, and analysis of diverse electronic systems, which may encompass Hardware, Power Engineering, Electromagnetic Engineering, and Integrated Circuit Engineering.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot existing product malfunctions, implementing necessary modifications.
- Compile and assess design and testing data, recommending design strategies based on analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Over 8 years of relevant experience with a proven record of delivering high-quality, production-ready designs.
- Extensive knowledge of embedded systems, including x86 processors, microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs.
- Hands-on experience with debugging and testing, demonstrating strong critical thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with networking interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, and CAN, as well as video display interfaces like LVDS and HDMI.
- Experience in low to medium power switch mode power supply design is a plus.
- Proficiency in Cadence Schematic Capture and familiarity with Allegro PCB Editor is beneficial.
