About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at Terran Orbital Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the development of next-generation communication systems for innovative small satellite constellations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical ownership of mission system performance analysis against capabilities and requirements, supporting concepts from design through verification.
  • Collaboration with government and commercial customers to define system requirements and coordinate all technical aspects of the mission.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop optimal solutions to complex problems.
  • Developing system architectures that efficiently satisfy customer and internal requirements.
  • Performing system trade studies to balance risk, cost, and performance.
  • Translating network performance analyses into architecture diagrams, system interfaces, requirements, flow downs, allocations, and verification methodologies.
  • Preparing and leading design reviews.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical sciences.
  • 5+ years relevant experience in network system development, modeling, simulation, or analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated success in technical leadership.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in design and documentation.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience with:
  • Modulation and coding techniques.
  • Multiple access techniques.
  • Link budget, availability, and capacity analysis.
  • Latency analysis.
  • Additional preferred experience:
  • Master's degree in engineering or physical sciences.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Communications system design experience.
  • Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements management software.
  • Experience with space system program lifecycles, development flows, test events, and verification and validation.
