  • Lead Engineer - RF Systems Electronics Support Analyst/Sr.

    Lead Engineer - RF Systems Electronics Support Analyst to become a part of our team of skilled, diverse professionals in defining the future.

    This position will be situated in Melbourne, FL.

This position may be filled at either the Lead Electronics Engineer - RF Systems Electronics Support Analyst level OR at the Senior Lead Electronics Engineer - RF Systems Electronics Support Analyst level based on the qualifications listed.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems IPT is responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of RF systems onto and into airborne platforms.

This role is for a Responsible Engineer focusing on subsystem requirements and architecture.

The Responsible Engineer in this capacity will report to an EW Lead within the RF Systems & Effects sub-IPT within the Mission Systems IPT.


Essential Functions:

  • Concentrated on model-based systems engineering utilizing Cameo and conducting analytical tasks.
  • Operating within Cameo, DOORs, Rhapsody, drafting requirements, and tracing requirements through various levels (from Systems Requirement Document down to Weapon System Specification down to Segment Specifications down to Subsystem Specifications).
  • Engaging with electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands).
  • Collaborating with sensor providers/suppliers.
  • Position is within a compact team with a diverse and significant set of requirements.


Candidate should possess a background in Electronic Warfare subsystems or a robust RF design background to define, specify, trace, and model requirements for the next generation of EW systems.

*Basic Qualifications:
*Lead Engineer - RF Systems Electronic Support Analyst (T03):

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 5 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 3 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.
D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.

  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years)
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)
  • Ability to travel 0-25%
  • Experience with Electronics Warfare subsystem OR Experience with RF design
*Basic Qualifications: *Senior

Lead Engineer - RF Systems Electronic Support Analyst (T04):

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 7 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.
D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.

  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years)
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR)
  • Ability to travel 0-25%
  • Experience with Electronics Warfare subsystem OR Experience with RF design
*Preferred Qualifications:

  • 14 Years with Bachelors in Science; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

*Salary Range: *$92,600 - $139,000

*Salary Range 2: *$114,900 - $172,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
