Job Overview: Life Safety Technician

The Life Safety Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and reliability of essential safety systems within the organization. This position involves collaboration with the Electronics-Specialty Shop team to maintain and enhance electronic safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate as an integral member of the Electronics-Specialty Shop.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic safety systems.
  • Implement installations and modifications to various safety-related electronic systems.
  • Perform thorough inspections and necessary repairs on Life Safety systems.
  • Acquire and uphold required certifications to ensure compliance and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in electronics or a related field.
  • Formal training in electronic technology principles.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Fire Alarm sector.
  • Certification from leading fire alarm manufacturers.
  • Background in building design and system testing.
Additional Duties:
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies.
  • Effectively prioritize, schedule, and manage workload.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands:
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Capacity to lift heavy objects with or without assistance.
