Facility Hours: Our Head Start Facility operates from 7am to 5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Site Supervisor and team in the planning, execution, and coordination of Head Start Performance Standards, focusing on Health and Nutrition Services, Family and Community Partnerships, and Program Design and Management.
  2. Conduct home visits alongside a Family Advocate to support family service initiatives.
  3. Engage in community recruitment efforts as directed throughout the week.
Essential Duties
  1. Support the Site Supervisor in processing applications and help families meet necessary medical requirements for program enrollment.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, parents, and specialists to assess and develop intervention plans for children and families.
  3. Facilitate parent training sessions in partnership with the Manager of Family and Community Engagement.
  4. Organize and promote opportunities for Parent Involvement activities.
  5. Work with families to create action plans, assess their needs, and educate them about available community resources.
  6. Conduct intake processes to enroll eligible families.
  7. Accompany a Family Advocate on home visits to foster relationships and provide follow-up services.
  8. Assist families in accessing services or benefits they are entitled to, including translation and advocacy support.
  9. Ensure full enrollment is achieved within thirty days of the program's start.
  10. Adhere to referral procedures, documenting and following up on all referrals made.
  11. Participate in center, agency, and parent committee meetings as required.
  12. Engage in community outreach to network with agencies for informational and recruitment purposes.
  13. Monitor family progress towards established action plans as outlined in the Family Partnership Agreement.
  14. Report any family-related issues, crises, or emergencies, including suspected abuse or neglect, to the Site Supervisor immediately.
  15. Maintain accurate records and complete monthly reports related to family needs and attendance, ensuring confidentiality.
  16. Keep all required documentation organized, including case notes and health information.
  17. Summarize key information in family contact notes.
  18. Follow up on children who are not picked up at the end of each session, documenting any issues.
  19. Input and maintain data in the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information Systems (PROMIS) Child and Family Tracking System.
  20. Coordinate transportation details between clients and the Transportation Coordinator.
Qualifications
  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Applied Behavioral Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  2. Familiarity with local community resources, child development, and prior Head Start experience is advantageous.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Teams.
  4. Successful completion of background checks, physical exams, and Tuberculosis (TB) testing is required.
  5. Reliable transportation and proof of liability insurance are necessary.
