Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and skilled individual to fill the role of Construction Surveillance Technician (CST).

Position Overview:

Summary: The CST will oversee, observe, and engage with construction personnel as they perform their various tasks to prevent the introduction of any electronic, electrical, mechanical, or other types of unauthorized surveillance devices into completed construction projects. You will be tasked with screening all equipment, materials, and furnishings intended for use in the controlled construction area, utilizing X-ray machines and other examination methods as specified in the Construction Surveillance Plan (CSP) and sanctioned by the government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The CST will oversee, observe, and engage with construction personnel to prevent the introduction of any unauthorized surveillance devices into completed projects.
  • You will be responsible for screening all equipment, materials, and furnishings intended for use in the controlled construction area, employing X-ray machines and other examination techniques as outlined in the CSP.
  • You will operate the proposed inspection equipment.
  • Utilize your knowledge across all construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles.
  • Read and analyze designs and blueprints, recognizing the architect's intended purpose.
  • Evaluate designs and structural complexities that may conceal ulterior motives not intended by the architect.
  • Apply your knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices used by both hostile and friendly intelligence services for clandestine surveillance.
  • Compose detailed reports in English and analyze issues, findings, and security situations requiring staff action.
  • Maintain daily logs throughout your tour of duty.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of relevant experience.

Security Requirements:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Skills:

  • Ability to read and analyze designs and blueprints, recognizing the intended use.
  • Knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and devices used for clandestine surveillance.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in the English language.

Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be capable of sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing, and walking.

Communication Skills: Excellent customer service skills, both via phone and in-person, along with strong written and verbal command of the English language.
