POSITION SUMMARY

The Court Operations Training Facilitator is responsible for delivering onboarding and tailored training to judicial staff within their designated district. This role also encompasses the management of training initiatives and the implementation of statewide procedural updates as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develops and executes localized onboarding strategies, guiding new employees through available resources, facilities, and introducing them to key personnel.
  2. Conducts hands-on training sessions, providing verbal coaching for court case processing while applying local practices. This includes direct observation of the employee during court docket activities and interactions with court clients.
  3. Evaluates employee performance through observation and provides constructive feedback on their work outputs.
  4. Coordinates observation schedules for courtroom and clerk's office activities. Aids in organizing formal training sessions for mandatory HR classes and court education programs.
  5. Mentors new or underperforming staff, potentially notifying supervisors or the Clerk of Court regarding performance issues and assisting in the development of improvement plans.
  6. Reinforces formal training initiatives for all court personnel and utilizes training resources developed by Court Education Specialists.
  7. Assesses existing training programs and offers insights and recommendations regarding training materials to specialists when relevant.
  8. Creates and maintains local job aids and resources, promoting their use and ensuring adherence to data integrity reports.
  9. Acts as a liaison with the State Court Administrator's Office, collaborating with Court Services, Court Education Specialists, the CORE Unit, and Distance Learning Units.
  10. Participates in required meetings and training sessions, attending classes and conferences to stay informed about legislative changes and to enhance knowledge and skills.
  11. Performs additional duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role may involve providing guidance and oversight to other employees, ensuring quality of work, training, and assignment of tasks.

COLLABORATIVE WORK

Engagement with individuals outside of direct reporting lines may be necessary to address specific challenges or policies, requiring the ability to consider various perspectives to achieve consensus.

FREEDOM TO ACT & IMPACT OF ACTIONS

Employees in this role typically operate with limited direction, utilizing their judgment to complete assignments, seeking supervisory input only when essential. Special projects are managed with minimal oversight, and work is reviewed upon completion.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree along with 2-3 years of experience in court processes and data management systems. Alternatively, additional directly related court experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis in lieu of formal education.

Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in court processes and data management systems, with a strong preference for experience in employee training.

Licenses and Certifications: None required.

PHYSICAL EFFORT REQUIREMENTS: Sedentary work, requiring the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently. Most tasks involve sitting, with walking and standing required only occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Generally favorable, with minimal exposure to unpleasant conditions or hazards.

EXPOSURES: Interaction with individuals who may be hostile or irate, including those with known violent backgrounds.
