Position Overview:

Summary: The CST will be responsible for overseeing, observing, and engaging with construction personnel to prevent the introduction of any unauthorized electronic, electrical, mechanical, or other surveillance devices into completed construction projects. This role involves the thorough screening of all equipment, materials, and furnishings intended for use in the controlled construction environment, utilizing X-ray machines and other examination methods as specified in the Construction Surveillance Plan (CSP) and sanctioned by the government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interact with construction teams to ensure compliance with security protocols against unauthorized surveillance devices.
  • Conduct screenings of all materials and equipment entering the controlled area, employing X-ray technology and other approved examination techniques.
  • Utilize expertise in various construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles.
  • Analyze blueprints and designs to identify the architect's intended use and detect any structural complexities that may conceal ulterior motives.
  • Apply knowledge of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and construction principles to identify potential threats from both hostile and friendly intelligence entities.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports in English detailing findings, issues, and security concerns that necessitate action.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs throughout the duration of the duty.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of relevant experience in a similar role.

Security Clearance:

  • Must possess a Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting designs and blueprints, with the ability to recognize intended uses.
  • Strong understanding of Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and construction principles.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Physical Requirements: Candidates must be capable of performing physical tasks including sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, squatting, standing, and walking.

Communication Skills: Excellent customer service skills, both in person and over the phone, along with strong written and oral communication abilities in English.
