Position Overview:

Summary: The CST will oversee, observe, and engage with construction personnel as they perform their various duties to prevent the introduction of any electronic, electrical, mechanical, or other types of unauthorized surveillance devices into completed construction projects. You will be tasked with screening all equipment, materials, and furnishings intended for use in the controlled construction area, employing X-ray machines and all other examination methods as specified in the Construction Surveillance Plan (CSP) and sanctioned by the government.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, observe, and interact with construction teams to ensure the exclusion of any hostile surveillance devices in the finished work.
  • Screen all materials and equipment designated for the controlled area using advanced inspection techniques.
  • Utilize knowledge across various construction disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and electronic engineering principles.
  • Interpret and analyze designs and blueprints, recognizing the intended use as envisioned by the architect.
  • Evaluate designs and structural complexities that may conceal ulterior motives not intended by the architect.
  • Apply expertise in Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, construction principles, and the types of devices utilized by both hostile and friendly intelligence services for clandestine monitoring.
  • Compose detailed reports in English, documenting issues, findings, and security situations that necessitate staff action.
  • Maintain daily logs throughout the duration of your duty.

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years of relevant experience.

Security Requirements:

  • Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.

Skills Required:

  • Proficient in reading and analyzing designs and blueprints, with the ability to discern the intended use.
  • Knowledgeable in Technical Surveillance Countermeasures and construction principles, as well as the devices used for clandestine surveillance.
  • Fluent in reading and writing in the English language.

Physical Requirements: This role requires the ability to sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.

Communication Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, both via phone and in-person, along with excellent written and verbal command of the English language.
