Environmental Project Coordinator

POWER Engineers, Inc. is on the lookout for an Environmental Project Coordinator to join our team in the U.S. West Region. This role is pivotal in assisting with environmental assessments, regulatory approvals, and compliance for significant energy-related initiatives across various states.

This position allows for a flexible work arrangement, primarily from a remote location. The selected individual will be required to attend occasional meetings at a POWER office.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating project collaboration and deliverables
  • Drafting and reviewing planning documents
  • Tracking project timelines and financials
  • Engaging with internal Project Managers, team members, and clients
  • Assisting in business development efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Expertise in environmental siting, routing, planning, and compliance within the U.S. Western region, particularly in areas such as electric transmission, power generation, and gas pipelines
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations is essential, particularly in states like NV, ID, CA, UT, AZ, and NM
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on understanding client needs and managing expectations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over five years of experience in environmental siting and permitting, especially for linear projects
  • Familiarity with permitting processes in NV, ID, CA, UT, AZ, and NM is advantageous
  • Experience related to the construction of transmission lines is a bonus
  • Skills in proposal writing and presentations are a plus

Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000
