EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time
QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 6 years of experience in the construction field with a General Contractor, particularly in commercial projects within the U.S. Experience with Tilt-Up construction is advantageous.
CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid driver's license and hold a current OSHA 30-hour safety certification.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client Relations
- Represent the organization professionally with clients, designers, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Foster and maintain productive relationships with customers and business partners.
- Support efforts to secure profitable projects for the company.
Contract Management
- Review and comprehend project specifications and contract documents thoroughly.
- Understand all contractual obligations, including completion timelines and reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual commitments from subcontractors and vendors.
- Assist in the timely preparation of necessary documentation and reports.
Communication
- Maintain open lines of communication with internal teams, third-party consultants, and clients.
- Participate in regular meetings with owners and subcontractors.
Quality Assurance
- Support the Superintendent in implementing quality control measures as per contract requirements.
- Regularly inspect work to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
Scheduling
- Assist in developing detailed construction schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor procurement timelines to aid in effective scheduling.
Safety Management
- Enforce safety protocols in collaboration with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations on-site.
Financial Oversight
- Assist in managing project budgets and ensuring adherence to financial policies.
- Confirm all material orders and deliveries align with the project budget.
Reporting
- Notify management of significant issues promptly.
- Assist in maintaining daily logs and necessary documentation.
Project Close-Out
- Support the close-out process in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure that as-built drawings are updated and submitted appropriately.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and construction plans.
Physical and Work Environment
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving materials.
- Work may involve exposure to various environmental conditions.
