Job Title: Assistant Director of NursingDescription

Liberty Health is a leading provider of healthcare and rehabilitation services. We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team.

About the Role:

  • We are looking for a registered nurse with a current and valid RN license in North Carolina.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience, preferably in skilled nursing.
  • You will be responsible for supervising and directing nursing personnel, ensuring the best patient care possible.
  • Your duties will include visiting patients, communicating with staff and physicians, and monitoring quality assurance programs.
  • You will also be responsible for assigning duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and supervising their work performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the preparation of a work schedule for all nursing personnel.
  2. Visit patients to ensure maximum care and communicate with staff and physicians about daily nursing operations.
  3. Supervise and direct nursing personnel to assure the best patient care possible.
  4. Serve as a liaison for staff nursing and nurse management.
  5. Monitor the Quality Assurance Program of the facility.
  6. Assign duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and supervise and evaluate work performance.
  7. Supervise the accuracy and maintenance of all nursing records and medical treatments.
  8. Act as Infection Control Nurse for the facility.
  9. Monitor decubiti weekly and review monthly decubiti reports.
  10. Handle disciplinary problems involving the nursing personnel in the facility.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A registered nurse with a current and valid RN license in North Carolina.
  • At least two years of experience, preferably in skilled nursing.
  • Willingness to be 'on call' per rotation basis for the facility.
  • Genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding nursing and unit problems.
  • Ability to supervise nursing staff, assuring that work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve, and perform various jobs.

Earn a competitive salary of $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
