Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced RN to lead our staff development program. The ideal candidate will have five years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting and/or nursing education experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the staff development program for the facility.
  • Act as personnel health nurse for the facility.
  • Provide orientation for all employees following the orientation policy and outline.
  • Conduct blood-borne pathogens training for new employees and present updates to staff.
  • Conduct hazard communication standards training for new employees and present updates to all staff yearly.
  • Act as primary instructor for the Nurse Aide Training Program as approved by DFS.
  • Post workshops and encourage attendance and participation.
  • Coordinate in-house in-service for all staff.
  • Assist the Nursing Management Team in reviewing incident reports.

Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with a current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Five years of nursing experience in a long-term care setting and/or nursing education experience.
  • Ability to provide quality nursing care and supervise nursing staff.
  • CPR certification yearly.

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
