Position:
Distributor Sales Consultant (DSC)

The Distributor Sales Consultant serves as a sales solution expert, responsible for expanding and nurturing a designated territory.
This role offers an uncapped commission structure, a vehicle reimbursement plan, and comprehensive benefits.


The DSC's primary responsibility is to enhance the overall sales performance of assigned salons. This involves meeting and exceeding sales targets by leveraging manufacturer training and sales tools.

Sales growth will be achieved by identifying new opportunities and promoting approved beauty products while introducing innovative items and concepts.

Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and establishing relationships with key accounts within the territory.
- Planning an efficient route to optimize customer engagement and explore new partnerships.
- Assisting clients in the development, implementation, and monitoring of in-salon promotions and programs.

It is essential to communicate all sales initiatives in collaboration with vendors to meet corporate sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Timely response to all forms of communication is crucial.

Analyzing accounts to determine necessary brand support, education, and promotional strategies is a key function.
- Conducting in-person visits to clients to fulfill established sales objectives.

Compliance with return processing procedures is mandatory, including the collection of returns and completion of required documentation.
- Timely completion of assigned projects is expected.

Collaboration with various business functions, including customer service and accounts receivable, is essential.
- Actively seeking new customers through cold outreach and digital channels is encouraged.

Efficient management of administrative tasks, including daily order entry and maintaining customer records in the sales system, is required.
- Conducting effective product knowledge sessions, both in-person and virtually, is part of the role.

Regular communication with management regarding sales activities, orders, and follow-up plans is necessary.

As a subject matter expert in digital platforms and social media, sharing knowledge with peers to enhance the team's digital capabilities is vital.
- Attendance at industry shows and events is required, including participation in setup and breakdown activities.

Continuous improvement and personal development in digital and social media strategies are encouraged to attract new customers and strengthen existing relationships.
- Adaptability to market changes while building industry knowledge is essential.

A minimum of one year of demonstrated outside sales experience or relevant industry experience is required, with a focus on consultative selling.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and visual merchandising is preferred.

Proficiency in social media platforms for business development is essential, along with strong computer skills.
- This position involves local travel within the territory and attendance at industry events, which may require overnight stays.

Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are required at all organizational levels.
