Youth Development Professional & Program Manager

Position Overview

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Vergennes, we are committed to fostering the growth and development of school-aged youth, specifically those in grades 4 through 12. Our mission is to deliver exceptional programs in a secure and supportive environment.

Role Summary

As a Youth Development Professional & Program Manager, your primary responsibilities will include designing and executing stimulating activities for club members, maintaining a safe atmosphere, and nurturing positive connections with the youth.

  • Recruit, train, and guide program personnel
  • Oversee volunteer sourcing and training initiatives
  • Create a monthly events schedule catering to all age groups
  • Compose articles for newsletters and digital platforms
  • Administer membership records
  • Operate within established program budget limits
  • Complete required training sessions

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred: Associate degree
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with youth
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is mandatory
