Quality Assurance Supervisor

The Quality Control Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive quality inspection processes as outlined by the company’s Quality Control Manual for all existing and forthcoming products. This position is essential in ensuring that all weldments comply with relevant codes, standards, engineering specifications, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct timely visual and dimensional inspections of products.
• Ensure that product fabrication adheres to all applicable standards, including ASME, ISO, customer specifications, and Quality Management System (QMS) protocols.
• Maintain adherence to quality programs and ensure project specifications are fulfilled.
• Verify various Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods, including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).
• Compile and assemble quality inspection documentation.
• Ensure timely reporting and effective communication.
• Monitor all safety incidents and training documentation to guarantee compliance.
• Possess a thorough understanding of fabricated products, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Mentor and train employees on quality control methods through demonstrations and discussions.
• Conduct audits and measure performance metrics.
• Perform welder audits as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Build strong relationships with customer representatives and authorized inspectors.
• Coordinate third-party inspection services as required.
• Develop necessary procedures and processes to ensure the production of quality products.
• Innovate methods to enhance the manufacturing process for improved product quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Possess knowledge of OSHA regulations and a strong understanding of employee safety.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• A technical degree or certificate from a two-year college is preferred.
• AWS/CWI certification is preferred.
• Ability to lead safety meetings and serve as a subject matter expert.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in inspecting pressure vessels and non-code fabricated components.
• Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Pro-Write.
• Capable of reading, understanding, and articulating fabrication drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, welding procedures, schedules, and other QA/QC documents.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/ASME B31.3, ASME Sec VIII and IX, and ISO standards.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a multi-tasking environment.
• Capable of meeting strict deadlines and following up on commitments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and persuasive communication abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated and a collaborative team player.
