The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for conducting regular inspections of production equipment and products to uphold the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to quality assurance procedures and take necessary actions to fulfill product specification requirements.
- Monitor facility operations to ensure sanitary conditions are consistently maintained.
- Assist in identifying causes of product or process deviations and collaborate with departmental supervision to implement corrective measures.
- Inspect equipment post-sanitation daily to verify compliance with cleaning protocols. Implement corrective actions as needed to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Conduct audits of Process Control points to confirm that system controls are in place. Follow established procedures to address any deficiencies and ensure product safety standards are met.
- Audit Finished Products for compliance with specifications and follow established protocols to rectify any deficiencies. Document findings and results of audits/inspections accurately.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding food safety and quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with the understanding that the scope of the role may evolve based on business needs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- 1-3 years of experience in food processing is preferred.
- A four-year degree or a minimum of three years of experience in the food industry in a Quality Assurance role or laboratory setting is advantageous.
- HACCP training is preferred.
