The Quality Control Manager is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive quality inspection processes as mandated by the company's Quality Control Manual for all existing and forthcoming products produced by the organization. This role is essential in ensuring that all weldments comply with relevant codes, standards, engineering specifications, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct timely visual and dimensional inspections of products.


• Ensure that product fabrication adheres to all standards, including ASME, ISO, customer specifications, and Quality Management System (QMS) protocols.


• Maintain adherence to quality programs and ensure project specifications are fulfilled.


• Validate various Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods, including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).


• Compile quality inspection documentation efficiently.


• Ensure timely reporting and effective communication.


• Monitor all safety incidents and training documentation to guarantee compliance.


• Possess a solid understanding of fabricated products, specifications, and applicable codes.


• Mentor and train other employees in quality control methodologies.


• Conduct audits and measure performance metrics.


• Perform audits of welders.


• Collaborate effectively with purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing teams.


• Build strong relationships with customer representatives and authorized inspectors.


• Coordinate third-party inspection services as necessary.


• Develop and implement procedures and processes to ensure the production of quality products.


• Innovate methods to enhance the manufacturing process for improved product quality.


• Maintain accurate documentation.


• Possess knowledge of OSHA regulations and a strong understanding of employee safety protocols.


• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


• A technical degree or certification from a two-year college is preferred.


• AWS/CWI certification is advantageous.


• Proven ability to lead safety meetings and serve as a subject matter expert.


• A minimum of five years of experience in inspecting pressure vessels and non-code fabricated components.


• Proficient in computer applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Pro-Write.


• Capability to read, comprehend, and articulate fabrication drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, welding procedures, schedules, and other QA/QC documentation.


• Strong knowledge of ANSI/ASME B31.3, ASME Sec VIII and IX, and ISO standards.


• Ability to prioritize tasks in a multi-tasking environment.


• Capacity to meet strict deadlines and follow through on commitments.


• Strong problem-solving skills and persuasive communication abilities.


• Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.


• A self-motivated individual who is also a team player.
