Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Coordinator to join our team at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance Hospital. As a RN Coordinator, you will play a critical role in coordinating with surgeons on their procedures, schedules, and specific requests. You will also be responsible for coordinating workflow and equipment with respective vendors, assisting staff with targeted in-services and unit-based education, and working towards the goals of the operating room stated metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with surgeons on procedures, schedules, and specific requests
  • Coordinate workflow and equipment with respective vendors
  • Assist staff with targeted in-services and unit-based education
  • Work towards the goals of the operating room stated metrics
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to the team
  • Support the development of TIP RN's, RN's, and senior RN's
  • Participate in presenting in-services for the staff
  • Monitor inventory, instruments, and equipment
  • Prepare and verify supplies and equipment list for surgical procedures
  • Maintain and update preference cards
  • Act as a board runner (charge nurse) when coverage is needed
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course upon hire
  • 1 year Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
