Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to plan and prepare for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of unit-based education programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
  • Prepare and verify surgical preference cards and equipment lists to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Act as a resource and mentor to staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course upon hire.
  • 1 year - Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Certification in area of specialty is preferred upon hire, unless otherwise indicated.
