Job Title: Floor Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled Floor Care Technician to join our team at G-Sida General Services LLC. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floors within our secure government facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize specialized equipment and techniques to clean, polish, and maintain floors to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Strip, wax, and buff various types of floors according to contract specifications.
  • Shampoo and clean various styles of carpeting according to contract specifications.
  • Ensure all flooring meets cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections to identify any issues or areas requiring attention.
  • Follow established procedures for the proper care and maintenance of different types of flooring materials.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of various flooring surfaces.
  • Sweep and mop hallways, stairs, and offices.
  • Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash in the prescribed manner.
  • Dust horizontal surfaces.
  • Clean bathrooms floor.
  • Wash walls and other vertical surfaces.
  • Vacuum rugs.
  • Mix cleaning solutions.
  • Maintain issued equipment.
  • Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed to perform tasks.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Compliance with OSHA Standards and Safety Regulations.
  • Adhere to Security Protocols and Procedures for Government Facilities.
  • Maintain Confidentiality and Security of Sensitive Information.
  • Participate in Training Sessions and Workshops as Required.
  • Assist with Other Duties as Assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, as well as push and pull 50 pounds, for cleaning work areas and handling supplies and equipment.
  • Capability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle, essential for tasks involving the use of ladders, stairs, cleaning low and high areas, benches, and corners.
  • Proficiency in communication with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Good vision, depth perception, and color perception for safety reasons and to distinguish between chemicals.
