Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Logistics Specialist II to join our team at SRS Distribution Inc. As a Commercial Driver, you will play a critical role in delivering building materials to our customers' locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver building materials to customers' locations within a 200-mile radius of our home branch, operating a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations.
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential safety hazards.
  • Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck, comparing purchase orders and sign-off on delivery tickets.
  • Perform job site inspections to document any existing damage to lawn, landscaping, or driveway, and the location of any power lines, sprinklers, septic tanks, mailboxes, fences, etc.
  • Capture pictures of all building products delivered in accordance with Company Policy.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record and no DWI or DUI convictions within the last three years.
  • Ability to load and unload building products that weigh up to 100 lbs. each off of a straight bed truck on a continuous basis.
  • Prior commercial driving experience and knowledge of DOT & OSHA safety regulations for Logistic Specialists.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English and pass a required drug test and possess a current DOT medical certificate.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass an E-Verify Check.
