Job Description

Guayakí Yerba Mate is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Leader to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading a group of Customer Sales Representatives (CSRs) within an assigned geography, driving sales volume and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and overseeing the coaching, training, and development of their respective teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive sales volume and KPI targets for each assigned CSR and manage the execution of these targets.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and performance reviews to CSRs.
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with retail partners and decision-makers to implement national/local programming and ensure high levels of customer service.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for CSRs and warehouse associates, including inspection of vehicles and equipment.
  • Recruit top talent and participate in the hiring process for direct report positions.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and training.
  • Conduct route rides to train, develop, and evaluate CSR performance and market execution.
  • Ensure Guayakí is the #1 yerba mate brand in all accounts and is winning vs. competition.
  • Teach and develop CSR selling skills through established selling processes, including role-plays, overcoming objections, and retail math skills.
  • Conduct weekly CSR huddles and workshops to improve operational expertise and recognize/reward results.
  • Manage inventory levels using company processes.
  • Review performance metrics and sales data daily.
  • Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the beverage industry and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) management.
  • Experience with Encompass data system and other IT systems.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a clean and valid driving record.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to prepare presentation materials and present information one-on-one and in a group.
  • Proven track record of achieving assigned sales goals.
