Position Overview
The Human Resources Business Partner for U.S. Plant Operations plays a vital role within our Human Resources team. This position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within client support areas, specifically across domestic plant locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular meetings with respective client areas.
2. Provide HR guidance and leadership to line management as needed.
3. Analyze trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR group to develop effective solutions, programs, and policies.
4. Build relationships with key stakeholders, educational institutions, and community organizations.
5. Collaborate with plant management to enhance culture, recruitment, retention, and development strategies.
6. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues through thorough investigations.
7. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, ensuring compliance and reducing legal risks.
8. Offer performance management guidance to line management, including coaching and career development.
9. Work closely with management and employees to foster positive work relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention.
10. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
11. Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
12. Contribute to business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
13. Identify training needs for business units and individual coaching requirements.
14. Travel to various plant locations as necessary.
Qualifications
1. 5-8 years of experience as a business partner in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with multiple plant locations.
2. Strong knowledge of various human resource disciplines, including recruiting, compensation practices, employee relations, and performance management.
3. Experience in labor relations and working within a collectively bargained environment.
