We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Account Manager to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and supporting the performance development of departmental staff.
Key Responsibilities- Manage client relationships to maintain high account retention rates
- Solicit new accounts through direct selling and cold calling
- Renew existing business and evaluate client coverage portfolios to identify cross-selling opportunities
- Service accounts, provide claims assistance, and analyze exposure bases to identify program deficiencies
- Complete applications, obtain quotes, negotiate premiums, and prepare proposals and presentations
- Bind coverage, prepare binders, and delegate certificates
- Review coverage and determine appropriate levels of coverage
- Meet with clients as needed and review accounting history to respond to inquiries and correct discrepancies
- Provide technical expertise and mentoring to departmental staff
- Collect fees, reconcile, and resolve outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date
- Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ten (10) or more years related work experience
- Valid insurance license and Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork
- Good planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
