Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting Producers and the service team in the support of existing accounts and the solicitation of new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Producers in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects;
  • Initiate renewal process for existing clients, and discuss and create renewal strategy with Producer;
  • Analyze and compare current exposures and develop renewal or new business specifications for marketing;
  • Conduct marketing, negotiate rates, review quotes and coverage for competitiveness and accuracy;
  • Review and summarize marketing results and prepare proposals;
  • Finalize proposals and presentations in coordination with Producers;
  • Bond insurance coverage, prepare and review binders of insurance, and delegate certificates issuance;
  • Review policies, identify deficiencies and determine appropriate level of coverage;
  • Prepare summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients;
  • Prepare and maintain bordereaux for accounting and midterm transactions;
  • Review client accounting history, respond to accounting inquiries, correct discrepancies, and contact client on receivable collections;
  • Provide technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues;
  • Notify Producers of pertinent information related to client retention;
  • Meet with clients as needed or directed by Producer;
  • Collection of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date;
  • Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information).

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Six (6) or more years related work experience;
  • Valid insurance license;
  • Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal;
  • Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor.

  • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills;
  • Good problem solving, analytical, organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
