Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Team Member to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep the facility in pristine condition, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers

• Respond promptly to maintenance calls, attending to spills, breaks, or other accidents, as well as performing various maintenance tasks

• Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently, including keeping the warehouse floor clear of debris, cleaning and restocking restrooms, sweeping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning windows

• Safely operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers, perform basic preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, and operate cardboard and plastic balers and compactors

• Maintain an organized and well-stocked supply room and maintenance stations, ensuring supplies are available to quickly answer maintenance calls

Requirements

• Customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Custodial/janitorial experience

• Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks
