Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Team Member to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the facility is kept in pristine condition, including sweeping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning windows.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls, attending to spills, breaks, or other accidents, and performing various maintenance tasks.
  • Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently, including keeping the warehouse floor clear of debris and maintaining a well-stocked supply room.
  • Safely operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers, perform basic preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, and operate cardboard and plastic balers and compactors.
  • Properly use equipment, handle products, keep accurate logs, follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines, and comply with Wegmans policies and federal and state laws.

  • Customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Custodial/janitorial experience
  • Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks
