Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Team Member to join our Facilities Maintenance team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe condition, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning restrooms
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls, including spills, breaks, and other accidents
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment and operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers
  • Load pallets and recyclables onto trailers and maintain a well-stocked and organized supply room
  • Properly use equipment, handle products, and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines
Requirements
  • Customer service experience
  • Custodial/janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
