Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Team Member to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our warehouse and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the facility is kept in a pristine condition, including sweeping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning windows.
  • Promptly respond to maintenance calls and attend to spills, breaks, or other accidents.
  • Work independently to prioritize and complete assigned tasks efficiently, including maintaining a clean and organized supply room and maintenance stations.
  • Operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers, perform basic preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, and safely use equipment and handle products.
  • Properly use equipment, handle products, keep accurate logs, follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines, and comply with Wegmans policies and federal and state laws.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience
  • Preferred qualifications: custodial/janitorial experience, experience using forklift and pallet jacks
