Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Team Member to join our Facilities team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean and safe condition, adhering to Wegmans' high standards
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls, addressing spills, breaks, and other accidents
  • Perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and cleaning windows
  • Operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers, as well as basic maintenance of cleaning equipment
  • Load pallets and recyclables onto trailers, and maintain a well-stocked and organized supply room
  • Follow sanitation practices, Simplification 5S procedures, and Wegmans' policies and federal and state laws
Requirements
  • Customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Custodial/janitorial experience
  • Experience using forklifts and pallet jacks
