Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Team Member to join our Facilities Maintenance team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to maintenance calls and address spills, breaks, and other accidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the general upkeep and safety of the facility, including sweeping floors, emptying trash receptacles, and cleaning windows.
  • Operate ride-on and walk-behind floor scrubbers, as well as basic preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment.
  • Properly use equipment, handle products, and maintain accurate logs in accordance with food and human safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Teams to provide exceptional service to each department and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Custodial/janitorial experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
