We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Strategist to join our dynamic Tax division.

YOUR TEAM.

This role will be integral to our Real Estate Group. You will collaborate with a team of Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners who are dedicated to delivering exceptional value to our clients.

YOUR ROLE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on tax issues and filing obligations impacting compliance.
  • Review tax returns to ensure precision and thoroughness.
  • Investigate complex tax matters utilizing the internal revenue code, treasury regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Prepare tax technical memoranda.
  • Act as the Engagement Manager for specific client accounts, overseeing pre-engagement planning, execution, and final deliverable preparation.
  • Identify opportunities to broaden the scope of existing engagements by recognizing current client needs and prospective client requirements.
  • Contribute to proposal development under management direction and take a leading role in responding to requests for proposals.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct timely performance evaluations.
  • Enhance the technical and industry skills of subordinates and promote their professional growth.
  • Exhibit initiative, vision, resourcefulness, creativity, and independent thought. Lead by example.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Accounting (BS/BA preferred); MST preferred, CPA or EA required.
  • Over 6 years of tax experience in public accounting.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in real estate is essential.
  • Partnership experience (1065) is required.
  • Strong writing skills are necessary; proposal development experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated management capabilities.
  • Proficient tax research and writing skills.
  • Competence with MS Office and tax compliance and research software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
