We are currently seeking a qualified Manager/Senior Manager in Private Client Services to become part of our team in Hartford, CT.

This position operates in a hybrid model, where employees alternate between remote work and office presence. YOUR TEAM:

This role will support our Private Client Services Group. You will collaborate with a team comprising Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. This team is passionate about delivering consistent value to our clients.

YOUR ROLE:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with a team to meet various departmental and client deadlines throughout the year.
  • Leading and managing multiple tax engagements that integrate tax efficiency with long-term planning strategies.
  • Preparing and presenting federal and state income tax returns while strategizing for clients.
  • Engaging with various business entities, including corporations and partnerships.
  • Overseeing the financial statement preparation process, including compilations and reviews.
  • Reviewing and preparing diverse tax returns, including business tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065), trust returns (1041), and personal returns (1040, including Schedules C & E).
  • Conducting various financial analyses, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end tax projections.
  • Managing various client relationships.
  • Providing supervision, training, mentoring, and guidance to PCS staff, seniors, and other team members.
  • Willingness to engage in various ad hoc projects as needed throughout the year.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and CPA certification.
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience, with a focus on tax.
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • The ability to lead, manage, and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, CCH Access, and BNA Tax Planner.
  • Experience with CCH Engagement and/or CaseWare is a plus.
  • Experience with Non-Resident returns is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills (both verbal and written).
