Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shift Lead to join our team at Le Pain Quotidien - Rye. As a Shift Lead, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing daily operations, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Order Management: Receive and enter orders accurately into the POS system, following up with the kitchen as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Anticipate guest needs, note preferences, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
  • Knowledge and Preparation: Maintain full knowledge of menu items, prepare drinks, and handle guest situations with empathy.
  • Operations: Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures, including daily checklists and side work assignments.
  • Cash Handling: Organize money and receipts in accordance with Le Pain Quotidien's cash handling policy.

Requirements
  • Experience: 3-6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
  • POS Systems: Experience with POS systems, especially Toast, is a plus.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
  • Cross-Training: Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
