Job Summary:

CornerStone Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Pharmacy Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of medications and pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and the provision of pharmaceutical care.
  • Enter and process new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy regulations.
  • Process prescription refills, including refill confirmation, review of pending refills with the supervising pharmacist, and generation of refill documentation.
  • Verify patient information and proper physician authorization to ensure accurate and secure processing of prescriptions.
  • Support phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Check all orders for completeness of information and accuracy of insurance approval.
  • Read and interpret prescriptions, calculating correct dosage volumes and converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
  • Maintain a neat and clean workstation, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Accurately process all orders in a timely manner, meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Assist in maintaining the accuracy of software templates and other tasks as assigned by Management.
  • Comply with all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Healthcare and/or pharmacy customer service experience.
  • Type 35+ wpm.
  • 1+ years of experience in a data intake role.
  • Lift 40 pounds in case support is needed in fulfillment.
  • Exhibit a sense of urgency and superb multi-tasking skills.
