Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Interpret and process prescriptions effectively.
  • Verify patient details and ensure proper physician authorization.
  • Confirm insurance approvals for all orders.
  • Calculate and convert dosage volumes accurately.
  • Assist pharmacists in the safe distribution of medications and pharmaceutical care.
  • Enter and manage new prescriptions in the pharmacy system under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Handle prescription refills, including confirmation and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Process all orders promptly and accurately.
  • Support the maintenance of software templates for accuracy.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a pharmacy data intake role.
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician License.
