Are you looking for a challenging role in financial management and budgeting? Do you have experience in planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) processes? Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled Financial Management/Budget Specialist III to support our team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the PPBE process, ensuring accurate and timely budget execution.
  • Provide staff support to the Contracting Officer, assisting in the acquisition of critically needed national security capabilities.
  • Analyze program funding for all PPBE phases and other budget exercises, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop cost-estimating models, life cycle cost estimates, and independent government cost estimates to inform budget decisions.
  • Perform cost/benefit analyses, affordability analyses, cost estimating drills, economic analyses, and other cost assessments as required.
  • Apply finance expertise in the areas of requirements generation, planning, programming, budgeting, execution, and program life cycle costs.
  • Identify issues, recommend solutions, and provide guidance on acquisition management of the SAP portfolio.
  • Hire, onboard, oversee timekeeping, performance assessments, manage tasking, report, and oversee other contract staff.
  • Mentor and provide quality reviews of work products and deliverables of more junior staff and lead specific projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related fields like accounting, business administration, contracts, economics, finance, law, purchasing, or a related discipline.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and 4+ additional years of experience may be used instead of a degree.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience.
  • Additional education or relevant higher-level certifications may be used instead of experience.
  • Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
  • Experience on similar types of programs may be used instead of SAP experience, contingent upon customer approval.
  • Active and valid driver's license.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to complete a government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph.
  • DAWIA or FAC Level III certified or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in classified accounting systems.
  • Momentum is preferred.
  • Ability to work under aggressive schedules with demanding performance requirements.
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
